The Domestic Violence Center of Chester County took First Prize in the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce’s 2nd Annual Mixers with Shakers Event.

EXTON — The Domestic Violence Center of Chester County took First Prize in the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce’s 2nd Annual Mixers with Shakers Event.

Mixers with Shakers is an event designed to bring recognition to the Non-Profit Members of the Chamber. Each Non-Profit had the opportunity to set up a themed table and serve a signature drink. Event attendees could then sample each drink and vote for their favorite.

The Domestic Violence Center of Chester County (DVCC) took top prize for their Alice in Wonderland Themed table and “The Looking Glass” drink. Terry Moody, Executive Director of DVCC said “This is our first year as a member of the Chamber, so we were excited to be able to participate in such a fun event and introduce the guests to our agencey and our mission.”

DVCC chose their Mixers with Shakers theme to go along with their Annual Gala Event “Through the Looking Glass” to be held on April 8th.

There were over 120 attendees at Mixers with Shakers, and 10 Non-Profit participants. Concordia Choral Arts took 2nd place, and Chester County’s Children took 3rd.

The Chamber plans to hold the event again next year. The mission of the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce is to advance the economic success of the membership and community by providing relationship building, marketing, education, advocacy and community outreach opportunities. To learn more about the Chamber and to sign up for their events newsletter see their web site: www.ERCC.net
